Huesca Unveils a Firefighter-Themed Playground in Sabiñánigo

The town of Sabiñánigo, in the province of Huesca, now features a new themed playground that transforms the world of firefighters into the main focus of children’s play. Developed with equipment by Industrias Agapito, the new space combines imagination, physical activity and inclusion through a carefully selected range of play elements designed to encourage child development and shared play.

The park’s main attraction is the spectacular Firehouse giant tower, a themed structure almost seven metres high inspired by a fire station. This impressive Firehouse playset recreates a real emergency centre with numerous interactive features, including an alarm bell, fire hoses, extinguishers, flames, a firefighter’s basket and a rescue helicopter positioned at the top of the tower. The structure also includes a 3.5-metre-high tube slide, a firefighter’s pole, the themed climbing wall Kitten in the Tree, an interactive fire engine with steering wheel, gear lever and meeting bench, as well as a variety of early learning and fine motor skill games located at the base of the structure.

The play offer is complemented by the Watchful Owls swing, a nature-inspired themed element where two friendly owls watch over children as they play. Manufactured from highly durable materials that are easy to clean and maintain, this swing provides a long-lasting solution for public spaces while combining functionality with an attractive design.

The park also features the Koalas balance rocker, an animal-themed play element designed to promote balance, coordination and shared play. Its robust structure and weather-resistant materials ensure a long service life, making it an ideal solution for high-use playgrounds.

The park’s inclusive character is reinforced by the installation of the Inclusive Spring Rider, an element adapted for children with reduced mobility and other disabilities, providing safe and comfortable access to play. This equipment enables children with different abilities to enjoy the playground together, strengthening the inclusive nature of the space.

With this new project in Sabiñánigo, Industrias Agapito continues to develop themed playgrounds that combine design, innovation and inclusion. The integration of interactive elements, accessible play equipment and firefighter-inspired experiences makes this new space a benchmark for children’s leisure, encouraging creativity, physical activity and community interaction in public spaces.
