Street workout arrives to Pinar de la Elipa Park in Madrid

Proyecto: Sport area

Fecha: November 2025

Ubicación: Pinar de la Elipa Park in Madrid (Spain)

The Moratalaz district of Madrid continues its commitment to outdoor sports with the installation of a new calisthenics park in Pinar de la Elipa, a symbolic green lung of the city that has become a meeting point for athletes, families, and fitness enthusiasts who enjoy exercising in contact with nature. The project, developed by Industrias Agapito, strengthens the network of public spaces dedicated to physical activity and community well-being.

Calisthenics is a fitness discipline that uses one’s own body weight as resistance, combining strength, balance, and coordination. Each movement targets different muscle groups in a functional way, without the need for complex machines, making it an accessible, sustainable, and adaptable activity for all levels. In recent years, calisthenics has grown significantly in cities like Madrid, where the climate and urban fitness culture support year-round training.

The new calisthenics park at Pinar de la Elipa responds to the increasing demand for areas to practice street workout and functional training. The space includes a complete set of equipment for progressive and varied routines, including a zigzag crosstraining unit with kettlebells, another with suspension ropes, a sit-up bench, H350 mm parallel bars, and multiple street workout stations designed for different levels of difficulty.

All equipment has been manufactured and installed by Industrias Agapito using galvanized steel structures with anti-vandal finishes and in compliance with European Standard EN16630 for outdoor fitness equipment. The result is a durable, safe, and robust environment designed for intensive use and social interaction in urban areas.

Located in a natural and accessible setting, Pinar de la Elipa combines wooded areas, recreational zones, and sports facilities, making it an ideal place to promote exercise, socialization, and healthy habits. With this initiative, Madrid City Council strengthens its commitment to creating inclusive, sustainable public spaces, while Industrias Agapito consolidates its role as a leading developer of outdoor fitness equipment.

This new calisthenics park in Moratalaz not only expands the city’s sports offering but also brings functional training and physical well-being closer to all citizens, supporting a more active, healthier, and environmentally connected city model.
