New Play and Fitness Area in La Orotava

La Orotava Park, in Tenerife, now features a new play area that combines themed design, inclusion, and physical activity for different age groups. This project was carried out in collaboration with Archipiélago Suministros Industriales, distributor of Industrias Agapito in the Canary Islands, responsible for the park’s design and installation using products designed and manufactured by Industrias Agapito.

The main attraction is the Treehouse Giant Tower, a themed structure nearly seven metres high inspired by a treehouse. This playset includes a 3.5-metre tube slide, a swing, and different access points such as a climbing wall and rope ladder, creating a high-level play experience full of challenges and stimuli.

Its carefully designed and narrative aesthetic, decorated with nature-inspired elements and animals such as a monkey at the top, birds, owls, and a fox by its den, turns play into an imaginative experience. At the base of the tower is the early stimulation area called “The Fox’s Cave”, a space designed for younger children that includes crawling tunnels, a gathering area, and symbolic play elements.

The park is completed with various features that expand its usability. The flying carousel introduces dynamic spinning play, while the Tribox nest swing encourages inclusive and group play, especially for children with reduced mobility.

The area also includes the Burbujas seesaw, which combines movement and safety thanks to its shock-absorbing elastic system, as well as a sports zone with an eight-post street workout set, an abdominal bench, and parallel bars, designed for teenagers and users seeking outdoor physical activity.

This new space reflects a growing trend in playground design: creating multifunctional areas that integrate play, sport, and social interaction within a single environment. With this project, Industrias Agapito, manufacturer of playgrounds and outdoor fitness equipment, continues to deliver innovative solutions that combine design, safety, and play value in public spaces.
