Renovated space for family leisure in Gran Canaria

The Juan Grande Park, located in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana (Gran Canaria), now features a new play area that enhances outdoor leisure options for families and improves the quality of public space. The intervention is integrated into its urban surroundings, combining play areas and rest zones that encourage everyday use of the park and enjoyment by users of all ages.

This children playground área includes a carefully selected range of play elements from the Tribox and Veleta collections by Industrias Agapito, known for their modern design, durability, and adaptability to different urban settings. At the heart of the park is a playset that offers a variety of climbing, sliding and active play activities, promoting movement, coordination and interaction among children. Alongside it are dynamic elements such as the Burbujas seesaw and the accessible Ladybug spring rider, both designed to ensure that all children can enjoy the play safely and comfortably.

The area also features a mixed swing that combines a flat seat with an accessible seat equipped with a harness, expanding the park’s usability and enabling more inclusive, shared play experiences.

In addition, the park environment is enhanced with Domo urban furniture — a modular and flexible system developed by Industrias Agapito in collaboration with architects, aiming to facilitate public space design by combining different pieces, materials and colours, while offering comfort and cohesion to the urban setting.

To ensure safety and add a cohesive, appealing look, the play area is enclosed with a colourful fence that defines the space and creates a cheerful, family-friendly environment.
