Bawshar Park, a new inclusive playground in Oman

The town of Bawshar, in the Governorate of Muscat (Oman), now has a new children’s leisure space with the inauguration of Bawshar Park, an international project developed with playground equipment supplied by Industrias Agapito. The park is conceived as an inclusive, accessible environment designed to encourage shared play among children of different ages and abilities.

One of the main features of the site is the large themed Fire Station inclusive playset, a comprehensive play structure fully accessible for wheelchair users. This installation includes activity panels, games such as noughts and crosses, interactive elements and imaginative decorations that foster creativity, interaction and inclusive play among all children. The structure is complemented by different climbing areas and active play zones that expand exploration possibilities.

Another key highlight is the “Galeon for All” playset, a pirate ship adapted for wheelchair users that incorporates educational play elements designed for children with different abilities, reinforcing the inclusive nature of the space and promoting shared play within a themed environment.

In addition, the new space features a wide variety of playful and themed elements that make the park a benchmark for integration and fun in children’s play. Among them stands out the “For All” carousel, a wheelchair-accessible roundabout that allows children with reduced mobility to participate, encouraging inclusion through movement and group play.

The park also includes a TRIBOX mixed swing, combining a flat seat with a baby seat, along with an inclusive version featuring an adapted seat for children with disabilities, equipped with a foldable and rigid safety harness. This combination allows children with different needs to safely share the swinging experience.

With this project in Bawshar, Industrias Agapito strengthens its international presence in the Middle East, consolidating its commitment to the development of inclusive playgrounds that integrate accessibility, design and social value to create play spaces open to all children.
