Outdoor Sports in Entrevías (Madrid)

Madrid City Council has completed the comprehensive renovation of La Viña Park, located in the Entrevías neighborhood of the Puente de Vallecas district. As part of this ambitious transformation, Industrias Agapito contributed to equipping the park’s new sports areas, creating a multi-activity space that combines health, sustainability, and outdoor enjoyment.

In total, the park now features over 43,000 square meters of renewed space, including accessible pathways, newly planted trees, sustainable drainage systems, and landscaping designed to improve climate comfort and biodiversity. Within this framework, Industrias Agapito has installed a set of freely accessible sports facilities that promote physical activity for all ages.

In the calisthenics area, a complete outdoor training circuit has been installed, ideal for bodyweight exercises. This setup includes a zigzag Cross Training unit with suspended ropes and kettlebells of 6, 9, and 12 kg, a monkey bar ladder, parallel bars, and various post-and-bar structures for performing functional strength, balance, and coordination routines. All elements are designed for heavy public use and ensure safety during exercise.

Adjacent to this area, an outdoor urban gym has been created with equipment for cardiovascular training and toning. Installed equipment includes an elliptical bike, an outdoor spinning bike with mobile device holder, a vandal-proof sit-up bench, and a double training vault for balance and strength exercises. This setup allows for a wide range of workouts adapted to different fitness levels.

The project also includes elements that promote moderate and shared exercise, such as a recycled plastic bench with an integrated bicycle, offering a functional and sustainable solution to encourage mobility among seniors and individuals with reduced mobility. Its design combines accessibility, durability, and low maintenance, harmoniously blending into the park’s natural environment.

Thanks to this intervention, La Viña Park in Entrevías becomes a benchmark in Madrid for inclusive, sustainable outdoor physical activity.
