A New Inclusive Park with Spanish Signature in Northern Ireland

Newtownards, in Northern Ireland, now has a new playground equipped with elements designed to foster inclusion and ensure fun for all children, regardless of their abilities. This outdoor space has been conceived as an accessible, inclusive, and stimulating play environment.

One of the main highlights is the Inclusive Metal Zip Line, a 20-meter-long structure that includes a launch platform and a braking system for a safe and thrilling experience. Designed to offer adrenaline without barriers, this inclusive zip line allows all children to enjoy flight and speed, sharing the adventure on equal terms.

The park also features the Inclusive Multi Swing “The Paintbrushes”, a structure that combines four flat seats with two inclusive seats. Thanks to its design, children can swing together while socializing and enjoying group play, strengthening coexistence and emotional development.

Completing this accessible play area is a wheelchair-adapted carousel, a feature that enables children with reduced mobility to actively participate in play. This carousel has been designed for sharing, spinning, and laughing, reinforcing the inclusive character of the park.

With this initiative, Newtownards adds yet another space where diversity is welcomed, and play becomes a shared right. An environment created to enjoy, grow, and coexist from childhood.
