Madrid promotes new inclusive playgrounds

Industrias Agapito, a manufacturer specialized in urban equipment and playgrounds, is currently involved in the installation of various play elements, urban furniture, fencing, and safety surfacing in several inclusive playgrounds throughout the city of Madrid.

These new spaces are designed according to principles of accessibility, safety, and inclusion, with the aim of providing play environments that encourage interaction, child development, and social coexistence in public spaces.

The areas have been designed in accordance with the requirements of Order TMA/851/2021 of July 23, implementing the technical document on basic accessibility and non-discrimination conditions for access to and use of urbanized public spaces, incorporating criteria that ensure more inclusive play environments adapted to the needs of all users. This approach reinforces the commitment to creating accessible, safe public spaces that promote participation and social interaction.

Among the installed elements are themed playsets, swings, slides, and various play structures that bring dynamism and fun to younger users. These facilities are integrated into areas designed to provide varied experiences adapted to different ages and abilities.

Some of the playgrounds also include sand play features, climbing structures such as the pyramid, carousels, and imaginative play elements that encourage the development of motor skills, creativity, and symbolic play.

In addition, the spaces are equipped with safety impact-absorbing surfacing and perimeter fencing that ensure user protection, further enhancing the quality and safety of the play environment.
