An inclusive playground from INDUSTRIES AGAPITO arrives in the town of Ingenio in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

Archipiélago Suministros Industriales S.L, official distributor in the Canary Islands of the urban equipment manufacturer INDUSTRIAS AGAPITO, has installed a complete inclusive playground in the municipality of Ingenio.

Ingenio City Council wanted to pay attention to children with disabilities, installing a handicapped-ready playgorund where all the games are adapted. A playgroudn area that considers the special needs of children with different abilities, favoring their participation and integration in children’s play activities.

In the play area, the large inclusive carousel for everyone stands out, suitable for children with reduced mobility. Thanks to its size, it has capacity for a user with a wheelchair, accompanied by four or six other people, in addition to the fact that its access to ground level, without any unevenness, allows easy entry of the chair.

This accesible acrousel encourages integration and team play. The companions of the person in a wheelchair can enjoy at the same time with the child and help him if necessary. In addition, floor-mounted wheelchair movement stops provide additional safety.

This adapted playground area is completed with an inclusive tribox nest swing, a spring adapted for one user and another double inclusive spring animal. All the area is protected with wet-pour flooring in bright colours, transmitting energy and optimism.
