Afamour Publishes Accessibility Guide for Public Spaces

The Spanish Association of Urban Furniture and Playground Manufacturers (AFAMOUR) has published the new Accessibility Guide for playgrounds, fitness areas, and water play zones, a key document that promotes universal design and genuine inclusion in public spaces dedicated to leisure and physical activity.

The aim of the guide is to assist professionals from both the public and private sectors—designers, technicians, procurement officers, and urban planners—in creating more accessible, safe, and welcoming environments for everyone, regardless of age, physical condition, or abilities.

Our company has actively participated in the working group that made this guide possible, contributing technical knowledge and a strong commitment to the development of inclusive parks that foster equal opportunities and integration for all citizens.

The document includes practical design criteria for playgrounds, sports areas, and water zones, as well as recommendations aligned with Ministerial Order TMA/851/2021 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
