A fun dog park opens in Gran Canaria

The Town Council of Gáldar, in Gran Canaria, has inaugurated the second phase of the expansion of the Huertas del Rey Recreational Area, a project that introduces new walkways, barbecue areas and, as its main highlight, a dog park equipped with an agility circuit designed to promote pets’ exercise and wellbeing.

The project has expanded the recreational area by approximately 3,000 square metres, reinforcing its role as a public space dedicated to leisure and community life. Among the new facilities, the creation of a dog park of nearly 650 square metres stands out, conceived as a dedicated environment for dogs’ play, physical activity and socialisation.

The new enclosure incorporates an agility circuit designed and manufactured by Industrias Agapito and installed by Archipiélago Suministros Industriales, the brand’s official distributors in the Canary Islands. The park is composed of different elements adapted for canine exercise and training. It includes a seesaw, hurdle wall, rigid tunnel, dog walk and slalom, creating a dynamic course that stimulates pets’ mobility, coordination and agility.

The equipment developed by Industrias Agapito has been designed according to criteria of safety, strength and durability, adapting to the demands of public-space use and providing specific solutions for the development of high-quality dog areas.

With this intervention, the Canary Islands town of Gáldar expands and diversifies its range of public spaces by incorporating new infrastructure focused on animal welfare and the shared use of the urban environment. At the same time, Industrias Agapito, manufacturer of agility circuits, strengthens its expertise in the development of specialised equipment for recreational spaces, integrating design, functionality and social value into projects aimed at improving quality of life in cities.
