Monesterio in Badajoz unveils a new canine agility circuit

The municipality of Monesterio, in Badajoz, has expanded its public spaces with the installation of a new canine agility circuit, a dedicated area within the dog park created to promote exercise, education and animal wellbeing. This initiative reinforces the town’s commitment to urban spaces adapted to the real needs of families and their pets.

Agility is a sporting discipline open to all dog breeds and sizes. It consists of completing a course made up of different obstacles, whose layout determines the level of difficulty and the speed of the trial. Beyond competition, it is an educational activity that stimulates the dog’s intelligence, agility and obedience, while strengthening the harmonious relationship between the dog and its handler. This connection and teamwork are the foundation of the discipline, encouraging balanced integration into society.

The new agility circuit in Monesterio features a comprehensive combination of technical elements, including jump obstacles, seesaws and walkways that require balance and control, as well as an agility slalom and agility table to work on precision, coordination and pause control. The installation is completed with perimeter agility fencing that defines the training area and a dog waste bin that helps maintain cleanliness, promoting responsible use of the park.
