Zaragoza Renovates Five Children’s Play Areas
Proyecto: Children Playground
Fecha: December 2025
Ubicación: Zaragoza (Spain)
Zaragoza City Council has entrusted Industrias Agapito with the comprehensive renovation of five children’s play areas located in different neighborhoods across the city. This initiative improves the quality of public spaces and provides families with new opportunities for safe, creative, and inclusive play.
The upgrades have been carried out at Plaza de la Armonía, Avenida Pablo Gargallo/Avenida Francia, Plaza Ángel Sanz Briz, Fuente de la Junquera, and La Balsa del Ojo del Cura (Casetas). In every case, the work began with the removal of outdated equipment and damaged elements, preparing each site for the installation of brand-new, fully updated play zones.
All five renovated spaces feature equipment from the TRIBOX series, a versatile and contemporary line designed to encourage dynamic play, psychomotor development, and interaction among children of different ages. In most of the play areas, VELETA or TRIBOX model child-safety fencing has also been installed, ensuring a secure environment and clearly defining the play space.
Depending on the needs of each location, the works have included ground excavation, the addition of silica sand, or the installation of continuous rubber safety surfacing, as well as the construction of perimeter concrete edging or fixings on low walls to ensure optimal integration with the existing urban surroundings.
With these actions, Zaragoza takes another step forward in modernizing its children’s parks, renewing more than a thousand square meters dedicated to outdoor play. For Industrias Agapito, this project represents a further boost to its commitment to creating safe, accessible spaces adapted to the current needs of cities and their residents.
